APPROACH
EDUCATION
POLICY ADVOCACY
AAI’s Advocacy Alliance supports policies, programs, and funding for the well-being of older adults in Marin. AAI also encourages housing solutions and provides, in partnership with others, accessory dwelling unit workshops to expand housing opportunities for older renters in Marin.
SERVICE INNOVATION
The Detect&Connect workshop, funded by the Mental Health Services Act in Marin County, offers a free, three-hour interactive training to Marin County organizations and neighborhoods. The workshop teaches how to recognize mental health and dementia issues in older adults, also offering communication skills and connecting participants with helpful resources.

HOUSING
The lack of affordable housing in Marin affects everyone, including renters, homeowners on fixed incomes, empty nesters, caregivers, and people facing homelessness.
